Born and raised in The Netherlands, Gratia P. Schoemakers, also known as Grace P. Schoemakers, started her legal career in the Netherlands, before permanently relocating to the United States, where she now owns and runs her web-based Texan Law Firm and a Virtual Law office in the Houston/Galveston area.
Gratia knows what it is to lose a loved one; she lost her godparents prematurely, had her paternal grandmother die without a will, and been faced with the sudden incapacity of both parent at one point in her life, Gratia has first-hand knowledge about the importance of planning and the peace of mind that comes with it, as well as the havoc that ensues due to the lack thereof.
Because of this Gratia decided in 2011 to found GP Schoemakers, PLLC, a Modern Law Firm focused on the one thing that is most important to most of us; FAMILY.
With more than 15 years of legal experience, having personally seen the emotional toll and financial devastation that poor planning, death, divorce or lack of knowledge can create, Gratia decided to create a modern law firm where family and education comes first. Not only can her love and passion be seen in the enduring personal relationships she has with her clients, her ongoing dedication to the mastery of the law and long-term vision; her compassion to help families, individuals and small business owners plan for the future, is also present to those dealing with a crisis.
As a mother, Gratia understands how busy life can be, and that Estate Planning is one of the things that get pushed back because of other important things happening in our lives. Yet, because of the importance of making sure that you, your spouse/partner and children are protected in case of incapacity of death, Gratia has created a unique Law Firm with a modern twist, which allows her to offer Online Estate Planning Services to all Texans, and busy parents just like you. Gratia also offers additional in-person services to those located in the Houston/Galveston area.
Gratia personally ensures that all her clients, no matter what they are going through, are treated with the compassion and respect we all deserve. She will take care of you from beginning to end, with her unique personal touch, compassion, and solid Christian values.
During an initial consultation, Gratia will make sure she understands your personal needs and desires so that she can help can create an estate plan uniquely designed to fit your personal situation. She will take time to answer your questions thoroughly and honestly so that together a sound strategy can be created that will give you peace of mind.
